About NESEED
The NESEED Foundation was established in December 2012. It is registered society under Societies Registration Act 1980. It is a Non-Governmental Social Service organization having a non-political, non-religious character and is mainly engaged in imparting Entrepreneurship Development education and Employability Skills Development/vocational trainings and also other social services Its initiative leverages the aspiration of career and lives of young people thereby helping their families break out of the cycle of long standing economic problem.
Objectives
- To promote rural development through entrepreneurship and employability skills development/vocational training as outlined in the National Skill Development Mission.
- To collaborate with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), both Centre and States governments to optimize resources for rapid and sustained skill development among youth in the Northeastern states.
- To collaborate with corporates and educational institutions whose objectives are wholly or partly aligned.
- To collaborate on and implement government and corporate projects in Manipur and the Northeastern region.
- To conduct research on skill gaps and improve training methodologies in line with global trends to enhance livelihoods.
- To prioritize skill development and capacity building in new and emerging markets.
- To improve livelihoods by enhancing earning capacities through skill development.
- To support the establishment of new enterprises to help rural youth secure gainful employment.
Key Areas of Focus
Livelihood Skill Development: CDCRMS offers training programs to improve the skill sets of the local population, enabling them to secure better employment opportunities or start their enterprises.
Agriculture and Rural Development: Initiatives include promoting sustainable agricultural practices, supporting farmers with technical know-how and facilitating access to markets.
Women’s Empowerment: Special attention is given to empowering women through training, awareness campaigns and creating opportunities for their economic participation.
Youth Engagement: Programs targeting youth aim to reduce unemployment and increase employability through skill training in various sectors. CDCRMS engages in activities that promote ecological conservation, such as reforestation, water management and soil conservation, to combat environmental degradation.
Programs and Initiatives
Capacity Building: Organizing workshops and seminars to enhance the skills and knowledge of community members in areas like financial literacy, business management and sustainable farming techniques.
Community Infrastructure Projects: Supporting infrastructure development projects such as water supply systems, roads and community centers that improve the quality of life in rural areas.
Entrepreneurship Support: Providing resources and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs to help them start and grow their businesses. Educating communities about hygiene practices and facilitating access to clean drinking water and proper sanitation facilities.
Our Associations
National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India to implement PMKVY at District level (NESEED is the only accredited Training partner in the district). Empaneled by Manipur Society for Skill Development, Govt. of Manipur for implementation of various skill projects, NABARD (Skill training and Farmer Producer Company), ASSAM RIFLES (Implementation of Border Area Skill development Project), NGOs, Corporates, MSME-DI and various sector skill councils.
